Kim was born and raised in Manhattan, New York City, N.Y. At a very young age she had a passion for movement & began to study Dance with The New York City Ballet School, The Julliard School of Music, The Alvin Alley Dance Company, Luigi Jazz Center and The Broadway Dance Center. She also studied music at the Julliard, acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Neightborhood Playhouse and Art at the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
She furthered her education at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she received a B.A. in Business, Marketing and Communications and N.Y.U where she received a B.S. in Exercise Science.
Kim has been a fitness and wellness expert for over 25 years. She opened up her first Fitness and Gymnastic and Dance Center for children, teens and adults in 1980 in N.Y.C. She was named one of the top fitness experts and centers in New York City by the New York Times, Bazaar Magazine and City Sports Magazine. Many top national and international instructors got their start with Kim. To name a few Petra Kolber, Patricia Moreno, Ary Nunez, Monique Dash all started with Kim and continue to be well known in the fitness industry.
Kim became the Group Fitness Director and Fitness Director for Equinox Fitness Clubs.
She went on to become the Director of Personal Training and the Director of Wellness and Group Exercise for the Sephardic Community Center in New York City.
In 2001 Kim moved to Florida to support her daughter’s tennis career. In Florida she became the Director of Personal Training and the Director of Wellness and Group Fitness for the JCC of Palm Beach. She established a company called Little Rascal’s and brought the best fitness and health practices to children in schools, parks and privately owned facilities.
In 2004 Kim.realized the need to expand beyond the children to people of all ages and she opened a personal, fitness and wellness business in South Florida. She coaches and trains a variety of people of all ages; children, teens, adults and seniors…Kim tailors her approach to match each individuals specific strengths and weaknesses with an emphasis on the total body, mind and spirit.
She works with recreational golfers, swimmers, runners and competitive junior tennis players to help each individual reach top physical condition, so they can achieve their personal bests.
In 2008 Kim became a contributing Health, Fitness and Wellness columnists for the Polo Trace Magazine. In her articles she shares her commitment to optimal health, fitness, and wellness with simple suggestions and tips to improve one’s sense of well-being.
Kim has a commitment to her clients and thus continues to take continuing education courses, seminars and workshops in the field of health, fitness and wellness.
